As faithful members of the Presbyterian
Church of Garden City,
Our mission is a twofold responsibility; to
nurture and support our local church; and to follow Christ’s call to serve in
the world, thereby proclaiming the Gospel to all.
Youth Elder
On August 5, 2007
Mitchell Watson was elected to serve as the Youth Elder for the Class of 2008.
Mitchell is an outstanding representative of the youth in our midst. He is an
active participant in the Wednesday youth group, a member of the Praise Band
and along with Michael Heatwole, Mitchell
operates the sound
system during worship services.
We joyfully welcome
Mitchell as Youth Elder.
Block
Party Door Hangers Volunteers
Volunteers
are needed to help distribute door hangers to advertise the Block Party. We
divided the neighborhood into sections. Each group will pick a section number
to cover. We would like to have the hangers delivered the last week if August
or the first couple if days of September. It should be fun, exercise and a
chance to invite some people personally. If you have questions call or email
Rosemary or Randy.
Christian Ed.
Is seeking people to help build God’s kingdom as Sunday
School
teachers of youth and adults,
and as Youth Group Sponsors. We have a
good group of experienced people returning and would like to add a few more –
with or without experience!
Please
prayerfully consider how YOU might take part in this opportunity.
**REMINDER**
Worship service
begins at 9:00 am for the month of August and the first Sunday of
September. There will be no Sunday school during this time. New classes will begin on September
9 at 9:30 am.

College Student

each school year, we are asked by the
‘Staff Support for
Higher Education Committee’
to supply a list of
college students and their home addresses as well as the name of their
attending college and address. The Committee will then forward the names of the
students to the many colleges that have active campus ministers, chaplains or
congregations ready and willing to serve the students.
