Interim

reference checks on three pastors who are interested in serving as our interim
pastor. After further reference checks are completed by the Executive
Presbyter and the chair of the Committee on Ministry one of these three can be
selected to come here for an on-site visit and interviews. We are hopeful
about having an interim on the job by the first of the year.

Take Care of Yourself
as a Caregiver
Follow these simple rules:
Use prayer and meditate to provide strength.
Be good to yourself. Make time for leisure.
Accept help. Develop contingency plans.
Learn about available resources. Plan ahead.
Make YOUR health a priority.
Share your feelings with others
Get enough rest and eat properly
Take one day at a time
For all the negative things we think and
say. God has a
positive for it.
It’s impossible: All things are
possible (Luke 18:27)
I’m too tired: I will give you
rest (Matthew 11:28-30)
Nobody loves me: I love
you. (John 3:16)
I can’t go on: My grace is
sufficient (II Corinthians 12:9, Psalm 91)
I can’t figure things
out: I will direct your path (Proverbs 3:5-6)
I can’t do it: You can do all
things through Christ (Philippians 4:13)
I’m not able: I am able (II Corinthians
9:8)
It’s not worth it: It will be
worth it (Romans 8:28)
I can’t forgive myself:
I forgive you (I John1:9, Romans 8:1)
I can’t manage: I will supply
all your needs (Philippians 4:19)
I’m afraid: I have not
given you a spirit of fear. (II Timothy 1:7)
I am always worried and
frustrated: Cast all your cares on Me (I Peter 5:7)
I don’t have enough
faith: I have given everyone a measure of faith (Romans 12:3)
I’m not smart enough: I give you
wisdom (I Corinthians 1:30)
I feel all alone: I will never
leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5)

Members Directory
It’s that time of year again for us to start compiling addresses and
phone numbers for the 2008 members directory.
If we need to update the information we published in last year’s
directory please submit the changes to the church office.
We are still missing addresses for some of our college students. If you’d
like your ‘college student’ to be able to keep up with what is happening within
our church while they are away at school, please let the church office know
their address for this year.
Overnight Mission Trip
We have a reservation to help
process Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for shipment overseas. This
is a great opportunity to be involved in this mission of showing
Christ's love to children around the world.
Our reservation is for Dec 8, 12:00
- 4:00 pm for 10 people, at least 2 of them must be adults, others must be at
least 13 years old. We are planning to
take a group up, leaving Friday late afternoon, staying overnight, working
12-4, and returning home Sat. night. We have a few openings and would
like to have 10 people going.
If you are interested, please email Mary at mrbuchele@hotmail.com
or leave a message for her at the church office 275-9141.
