Summer Worship Schedule

Sunday, August 5 through

Sunday, September 2, 2007

Worship Service will begin at 9:00 am.

There will be no Sunday school during that time.

New classes will begin on September 9 at 9:30 am.

 

 

 

From the Session

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING

   Session has set August 5, 2007 as the date of a Congregational Meeting.

The purpose of this meeting will be the election of the new Youth Elder for

the Class of 2008. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend this

meeting in support of our youth.

 

Interim Pastor Committee

An Interim Pastor Search Committee has been appointed by the

Session to begin the process of locating one or more candidates for the position. Several recommendations have been made by Presbytery and the committee hopes to be in contact with these individuals in the very near future to determine their possible interest in serving our church.

 

Presbytery August 28, 2007

Grace Presbyterian Church - Wichita

Members of the Congregation are welcome to attend the Presbytery

meeting to be held on August 28 at the Grace Presbyterian Church in Wichita. During this meeting the Presbytery will be officially

 recognizing Dave’s retirement.

     During this time of transition the Session is working hard to keep the congregation informed as to what is happening in the life of our church.

     On September 9th the church will be having a Block Party with hamburger fry and games for kids.  We will invite the community.  O & E committee members are making door hangers to invite the neighbors.  If you would like to help distribute the door hangers please let Rosemary York or Randy McVey know.

 

   Evidence, a Christian Singing group from Calvary Bible College will be performing at Grace Bible Church, Friday July 27, 2007 at 7:00 pm.

   This performance is open to the public. If you would like to spend an evening

enjoying a wonderful Christian Faith based event Grace Bible Church is located at: 2595 Jennie Barker Road. For more information call 275-6701.

 

Church Girl Lunch

 Friday, August 3 will be the last scheduled lunch of this summer.

We will be gathering at Traditions (Main St).

 

Christian Ed. Is seeking people to help build God’s kingdom as Sunday School teachers of youth and adults, and as Youth Group Sponsors.  We have a good group of experienced people returning and would like to add a few more – with or without experience!

 

Please prayerfully consider how YOU might take part in this opportunity.  

 

To All 5th – 12th graders –  We’ll be holding a lock-in August 17th – 18. 

That’s the first Friday after school starts.  Watch for more details, but we are planning for a great night. In August we will have a sign-up board

September will be praise music month.  It will be a joint effort between the Choir and Praise Band.  Guest musician will be Bettee Gilkison on Oboe!
